Listen to the Audible version!! Things to apply in every area of my life, in my work of course, but also as a volleyball coach and as a mother。 And i love how he relates some of his anecdotes to basketball! The world needs more level 4 and 5 leaders!!!

Several years ago, I was browsing in a bookstore and read that Stephen Covey was a Level 5 Leader within John Maxwell's system。 I was already a big fan of Stephen Covey and "7 Habits", so I was curious to read from someone else who thought so highly of him。 And then I waited a number of years, until the covid pandemic made it so hard to get a library book that I was forced to revisit my ever-growing list of books to read。。。Like "7 Habits", this is a book that was written by someone with decades Several years ago, I was browsing in a bookstore and read that Stephen Covey was a Level 5 Leader within John Maxwell's system。 I was already a big fan of Stephen Covey and "7 Habits", so I was curious to read from someone else who thought so highly of him。 And then I waited a number of years, until the covid pandemic made it so hard to get a library book that I was forced to revisit my ever-growing list of books to read。。。Like "7 Habits", this is a book that was written by someone with decades of leadership experience。 It isn't merely a description of leadership, it's the distillation of a lot of hard-fought wisdom earned over many years。 I feel comfortable saying I'm on level two。 Should I be glad that I'm not on the lowest level, or humbled that there is so much left to climb? While reading this book I found myself thinking about various people I've met who have achieved up to a certain level but are clearly not at level five。 What level are they at? What are they missing? The author is up-front about his Christian faith and mentions it several times, but he isn't pushy or preachy about it。 I could see that being a turn-off to some people。 Otherwise I would recommend this to anyone who is serious about leadership。 There is a lot of food for thought, and a lot of practical advice and suggestions。 。。。more

In the book the 5 Levels of Leadership: Proven Steps to Maximize Your Potential, John C。 Maxwell outlines the different leadership levels; Level (1) Position。 People follow a leader because they have to; Level (2): Permission。 People follow leaders because they want to, Level (3): Production。 People follow leaders because of what they have done for the organization, Level (4): People Development。 People follow leaders because of what they have done for them, and Level (5): Pinnacle。 People follo In the book the 5 Levels of Leadership: Proven Steps to Maximize Your Potential, John C。 Maxwell outlines the different leadership levels; Level (1) Position。 People follow a leader because they have to; Level (2): Permission。 People follow leaders because they want to, Level (3): Production。 People follow leaders because of what they have done for the organization, Level (4): People Development。 People follow leaders because of what they have done for them, and Level (5): Pinnacle。 People follow leaders because of who they are and what they represent。 According to Maxwell, leaders achieve Level (5) leadership when developing new leaders who can develop others。 However, it is essential to note that Maxwell asserts that less than 1% of leaders make it to Level (5) leadership。KEY PASSAGE(S) IN THE TEXT: Maxwell asserts, “no one achieves anything significant by giving the minimum。 No teams win championships without making sacrifices and giving their best -- when people follow a leader because they have to, they will do what they have to。 People don’t give their best to leaders they don’t like。 They give reluctant compliance, not a commitment; give their hands but certainly not their heads or hearts。 When leaders like people and treat them like individuals who have value, they begin to develop influence and trust。” 。。。more

I just love everything this man does。 He really has a way of speaking to my soul。 His charming demeanor is enjoyable to engage with and he can easily reach the concepts of leadership through a simple and effective method that really does make a difference when applied。

There is much to the 5 levels of leadership。 Each level has depth to learn, grow and apply。 It takes maturity to raise to each level in a different way and it takes intentionality。 Each level is a step, a lesson to learn and to grow and mature you to the next level of leadership。 I recommend reading this book!

This is a really good book on leadership, it discusses climbing through levels of leadership by focusing on people and production (it is not a book about how to get promoted)。Like all books of this genre, it could be a lot shorter and still convey the same message。 Since author was (or is?) a Priest, you can expect Bible moments here and there。

I finished reading the book “The 5 Levels of Leadership by John C。 Maxwell”。 Another Favorite of many reads so far, and I have always enjoyed reading books from John C。 Maxwell。 One of my takeaways was when J。C。 Maxwell mentioned in the book about the five levels; how we start from level 1 and what it takes to get to level 5。The 5 Levels•tLevel 1 Position – Rights – People follow you because they have to。•tLevel 2Permission – Relationships – People follow you because they want to。•tLevel 3Produc I finished reading the book “The 5 Levels of Leadership by John C。 Maxwell”。 Another Favorite of many reads so far, and I have always enjoyed reading books from John C。 Maxwell。 One of my takeaways was when J。C。 Maxwell mentioned in the book about the five levels; how we start from level 1 and what it takes to get to level 5。The 5 Levels•tLevel 1 Position – Rights – People follow you because they have to。•tLevel 2Permission – Relationships – People follow you because they want to。•tLevel 3Production – Results – People follow because of what you have done for the organization。•tLevel 4People Development – Reproduction – People follow because of what you have done for them。•tLevel 5Pinnacle – Respect – People follow because of who you are and what you represent。The 5 P’s•tPosition – Is the only level that does not require the ability and effort to achieve。•tPermission – People do more than merely comply with orders。 They start to follow。•tProduction – Leaders don’t just create a pleasant work environment。 They get things done!•tPeople Development – To Improve the skills, abilities, and confidence of leaders。•tPinnacle – The highest point of development or achievement。The 5 R’s•tRights – You are the “Boss” Your influence doesn’t extend beyond the job description。•tRelationship – They trust you, and they believe in you。 People will follow you beyond your stated authority。•tResults – You need to have self-discipline, a strong work ethic, organization, and skills to produce。•tReproduction – Long-range growth occurs here because you’re developing future leaders to carry the torch。•tRespect – Few people make it here (1% of leaders)。 A leader creates leaders over a lifetime。 It’s a life commitment; the leaders they develop and grow to become leaders that develop other leaders。J。C。 Maxwell mentions that it does not matter your title, you are a leader, but where are you on your leadership journey。 Maxwell says everything rises and falls on leadership by learning the five levels to know what leadership is and how to grow as a leader。 Leadership is a verb, not a noun; it’s progressive and builds。 My takeaway is that leadership is to develop influence and ultimately change that will benefit everyone。 True leaders keep learning and have a serving heart for people。 Leaders lead people by example, with a strong work ethic or result from being productive; in other words, leaders with significant momentum。 Leaders recruit the right people, position, and equip them well。 Leaders can always teach what they know; you will only replicate who you are by growing people and building them into leaders。 Just another short article on my takeaways, has anyone else read John C。 Maxwell’s book of The 5 levels leadership? If so, what was your major takeaway? Finally, have you started to implement this in your work, Business, or Life? 。。。more

First Law: leadership is a "lid"。 Leadership will determine the success of your business If you practice something one hour every day, 5 years you will become an expert。Law of process: leadership develops daily, not in a day。Culture is more important than vision。 Culture is behavior。Level 1: Position (Rights) People follow you because they have to。Level 1 is a wonderful place to start, but a horrible place to stay。leadership is a verb, not a noun。 Leadership should start within yourself。Level 2: First Law: leadership is a "lid"。 Leadership will determine the success of your business If you practice something one hour every day, 5 years you will become an expert。Law of process: leadership develops daily, not in a day。Culture is more important than vision。 Culture is behavior。Level 1: Position (Rights) People follow you because they have to。Level 1 is a wonderful place to start, but a horrible place to stay。leadership is a verb, not a noun。 Leadership should start within yourself。Level 2: Permission (Is based upon Relationships) People follow you because they want to。Relationship is the foundation of leadership。 At this level, people begin to give energy and their heart。Leaders at level 2 go to people and bring them with them。3 follower questions:Do you care for me? (compassion)-level2Can you help me? (competence)Can I trust you? (character)-level 2Action:1。 listen (ask good questions, find where their people are)2。 learn (observe, put them on the best place )3。 lead (serve)Level 3: Production (results)People follow you because of what we have done for the organization。Leaders at level 3 bring results。 3 things people do well in this level consistently do:1。 They lead by example。 2。 They create momentum 冲力 (momentum knocks down problems)leaders become successful themselves。3。 They attract better people to your company (we attract who we are)Level 4: People Development (reproduction) Make people better so they become grateful。3 things you need to do well1。 recruitment (have a clear picture of what you are looking for, get as close as your picture)2。 position people well 3。 equipt people well (train people)*5 steps of equipping people1。 I do it 2。 I do it and you are with me。 (observe me)3。 you do it and I am with you4。 you do it (normally it stops here)5。 you do it and someone is with youLevel 5: Pinnacle (Respect) People follow because who you are and what you present - You never leave each level, you build on each level。The higher you go, the fewer people follow。 Find out each person which level you are with them。- Leaders bring the best out of people。Titles don't make you a leader。 good leader don't value their power or authority over people- One advice to entrepreneurs: go a bit slower。 build the team。 it's not the size of the dream, it's the size of your team that determines your success。 Grow the size of your team, not your dream。Actions plan:1。 To start from level 1, I need to first practice leadership within myself。2。 Be an active listener, then observe and learn about the needs of others。 Compassion and empathy are the keys。3。 Don't miss the chance to help others improve。 Good leaders bring people with them when they climb。4。 As an entrepreneur, I need to invest time in growing the team。 。。。more

Relevant anecdotes create opportunities for the reader to connect personally with each level of leadership described。 Concrete ideas for how to implement, expand and develop skills at each level further emphasize the value in this book。 The content resonates because it creates space to reflect on and connect with personal experience。
